Asking For Self, Female 16, lahore

Title: Irregular periods, excess hair growth, weight gain, stress — possible PCOS? Body: Hello Doctors, I am 16 years old and I am worried about some ongoing health issues. I have been experiencing: Irregular periods (sometimes delayed or missed) Increased hair growth on face/body Gradual weight gain without major diet changes Ongoing stress and overthinking since around age 11 These symptoms are affecting my confidence and overall well-being. I want to ask: Do these signs suggest PCOS or a hormonal imbalance? What tests should I get to confirm the cause? What treatment or lifestyle changes should I start at this stage? I would really appreciate your guidance. Thank you.

It’s common with PCOS, but it still shouldn’t be ignored, especially since it’s been going on for years. Long-term irregular periods can sometimes lead to:

* Thickening of the uterine lining
* Fertility challenges
* Ongoing hormonal issues

What you should do next

* Ultrasound (to reassess PCOS status)
* Discussion of cycle regulation options book your consultation for queries

go for pelvic ultrasound with full bladder for follicular tracking,
SERUM LH:FSH ratio.

stress can easily cause menstrual disturbance even
Infertility as all these hormones
LH, FSH, PROLACTIN are released from brain.
rest life modification is required.

rest delayed periods means that you are not ovulating properly.
not necessarily due to PCOS it may be Thyroid issue or yes stress as well
