Asking for Self, Female, 29 years old, Islamabad
I’m 29, single female.
6 yrs: recurrent kidney infections, UTIs, flank pain, high BP spikes, gout flare ups
Horseshoe kidneys → CT shows normal size, but US often reports mismatch
Last week US (for PCOS) → R smaller, L larger
Doppler yesterday → kidneys rotated (R inward, L outward), both normal size • Hydronephrosis: R mild, L moderate • No stone seen, maybe uric acid crystal / invisible obstruction • Suggested kidney function scan (DMSA) • Cause might be structural rotation → urine blockage → hydronephrosis
Post void bladder empty
Chronic R groin pain + swelling (6 yrs) → Doppler doctor said lymph node not draining properly
Tests: autoimmune profile normal, RFT normal, pre-diabetic
Past: protein traces in urine, but 24h protein + PCR both normal
What should I do next?
If you are having recurrent infections, better to do culture and sensitivity of urine and after treatment for UTI can use prophylactic antibiotics to prevent infection.

dear lady, you have obstructive uropathy due to the congenital mal rotation of both kidneys. it is complicated with recurrent infections. please consult a good consultant urologist. get urine analysis and culture report before appointment.
