Respected dr ! My friend suffering with kidney stone for last 8years relief from pain with pain killers now stone size 1.25cm .. what should he do either operate or one is best ?

Stones are of different types and the trestment is according to type and site of stone. 1.25cm stone is not very big so if there is not obstruction i.e; swelling of kidney then there are chances that it can resolve with medical treatment. i will require an ulrasound report and an xray-KUB (Fasting with stone protocol) to guide you further.
