Talk to Neuro Physician on Forgetting Too Much

My friend is always forgetting a lot. Like it has come to a point where he instantly forgets and he has to write multiple notes the night before so he knows what he will be doing the next day. At first I thought it must be normal because we all forget sometimes, but with him it's too much. He will tell me that he is picking me up in three minutes and when I call him after ten minutes, he would be at home completely forgiving about me. He would go out to bring dinner for his wife but he would forget and come back empty handed. What kind of doctor should he consult?
