Asking For Someone else, Father, Male, 53 Years old, Lahore
At first, I thought it was sleep apnea because my father sleeps with his mouth open, but he thinks it’s something else related to his brain. For the past 1–2 years, he has been having brief episodes where he suddenly goes quiet and stares for about 5–10 seconds. If he is standing, he automatically sits down, and he blinks less during this time. After each episode, he immediately becomes fully normal, remembers everything, and can continue his activities. These episodes happen multiple times a day, mostly while lying down but sometimes during routine work. I would like guidance on what evaluations or tests are needed to understand the cause. He also has diabetes and hypertension but they rarely show their effects.
make videos of these events, see a neurologist after couple of these videos.
