Asking For Father, Male 73, Peshawar, Pakistan
A 73-year-old man experienced sudden leg paralysis and urinary issues, diagnosed as spinal/neck-related by neurosurgeons. Steroids resolved symptoms, followed by ongoing medications. Currently, his left leg swells in uncomfortable positions, with hip joint pain and limited left leg movement. Despite a spinal MRI, it’s unclear if this is due to heart, orthopedic, neuro, or other issues, as he is under a pulmonologist and other doctors. Guidance is needed on which specialist to consult next.
In my opinion, get MRI brain to exclude cause of leg wekness , or may visit Neurophysician for examination and relevant workup

Got it. But the patient has hypertension history as well. He is already taking blood pressure medicine , as well as last month suddenly his legs suddenly stopped movement like he was unable to walk or stand even though his urine was inconsistent. so there we thought he had orthopedic issues but we went to the neurosurgeon he had written a MRI of spinal cord then they have found some minor issues in his neck and last part of spinal cord attached to movement or legs. So his steroids have started. After steroids, he is now on medication but everything is okay now. But the issue is his left leg starts swallowing , whenever there is pressure on it or whenever he walks a lot and hurts as well. And when I have touched his left foot it seems like a "pitting edema " case but I am not sure whether it's orthopedic , or neuro or Heart related issue. That's why I have asked for suggestions here before visiting.
