Talk to Neuro Surgeon on Memory Problem

My mother is complaining again and again that she cant process what’s happening and she cant remember some things. She is taking treatment from neurologist whenever she skips medicine her condition becomes worse and she needs to sleep. I asked her to engage herself in things so that she cant think about this, my mother is working women and housewife as well, firstly i thought she should quite her work but than i also thought if she will quite she will think more about her mental health and maybe because of this her condition becomes more worse. She always complains me that i will become mentally unstable maybe i will lose my memory. I dont know what should i do. I asked her to do journalling but she cant remember to do this too. Actually my elder brother is out of country and im out of city for studies and there is only my younger sister with her. Maybe her condition is this because she miss us. I need any guidance please guide me.
