My mother got RT side weakness two years ago. Weakness is mostly recovered but memory did not recovered, now taking B.P medicine Sofvasc, loprin& brain tonic. Asking for memory recovery & SPLT doctor pls.. and should I find my answer in App. thnx

more history is needee and sharing of CT/MRI brain if already done
Your mother had a stroke with Rt sided weakness which means that the ischemic lesion was on the left side of the brain. In a majority of population the speech center is located on the left side of the brain which means that because of left brain controlling the Right side of body. anybody with Rt sided weakness may also be a candidate for speech disorder. In Receptive speech disorder ( Receptive aphasia) Patients are unable to understand what they are saying and therefore have a gibberish speech, thus being regarded as confused. Kindly have a neurologist to examine your father. He would also order a CT scan of his brain.

CT brain needs to be seen as well as memory assessment by a neurologist . Memory loss can occur at old age with strokes.
