Talk to Cancer Specialist / Oncologist on Breast Cancer Surgery
Asking For Mother, Female 72, Lahore
My mother has been diagnosed with Invasive Breast Carcinoma, no special type (ductal), grade 2 breast cancer, her doppler ultrasound report, mammography report and biopsy report is attached. Tumor size is 17mm as per Ultrasound. Please look into the attached reports and guide which treatment plan can be opted:
1) Lumpectomy without radiation 2) Lumpectomy with radiation 3) Mastectomy
I am so confused and depressed and need guideline, please guide, Thanks to Jazzak Allah

Lumpectomy (send sample for Histopathology).After Lumpectomy we need radiation. If patient opted for Mastectomy than we can avoid radiation. Start Tab Letrazole 2.5mg

As per NCCN recommendation she need radiation but after surgery get opnion from Radiation Oncologist .

Is radiation safe in her age?
Radiation can be omitted as per CALGB 9343 and Prime II trails ?

her surgery is planned on 21st July, may she start tab Letrazole after surgery or can start it before surgery?
