Talk to Orthopedic Surgeon on Shoulder Pain

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Male, 24 years old, Abbottabad

I fell from bike about almost 3 years ago on my left shoulder side, at that time I didn't feel any pain. But after that I feel pain occasionially and it goes away by itself. I also do exercises and it doesn't feel any pain but for some reason it comes back for a few days and then goes away by itself. Now currently the pain is in my shoulder blade, previously it was in front delt. I have consulted with few doctors, they gave some medicine and physiotherapy advice (I don't remember the medicine's name) but it didn't have any affect. For the physiotherapy part, I was doing exercises and I told the doctors and they said it was fine. But I don't understand why it is not healing properly. And why the pain has migrated to shoulder blade also. I came here because I was told that I might find some competent doctors here, because the doctors I showed myself to weren't competent at all.

Wasalam. Most probably it is muscular or musculotendinous originated pain which mostly related to activities and posrure. Also it can be due to tendinopathy of rotator cuff muscles which causes dull aching pain. You need to do plain xrays shoulder AP view and MRI left shoulder with Radiology report. Kindly provide the investigations mentioned and will proceed accordingly.
