My brother slipped while playing tennis last night and has been experiencing significant foot pain since then. He is currently in Saudi Arabia, where doctors have taken an X-ray of his foot. Could an orthopaedic specialist kindly review the X-ray and provide a preliminary opinion on his condition? He is currently on bed rest due to the pain.

XRay grossly looks fine, but need to know details about pain, location of pain, as there are not only bones but also ligaments and tendons which get tears and these don't show up on XRay. Need physical examination to rule out ligament or tendon tear.

asslamo allycum, there is no obvious fracture, needs , rest , keep foot up and some painkillers, needs to apply cold sponge. what part is painful

It seems to be pure ligamentous injury of ankle , lateral aspect but there is a suspicion of fracture at the base of 5th metatarsal . Pure AP view of foot is required to access any injury of foot . Treat it conservatively with painkiller , rest , icing ,cripe bandage and elevation .Protected weight bearing may be done after few days if there's no fracture.
