Most of the pregnancy induced sciatic conditions are not nerve originated but pressure and muscular stretch generated, so can be treated without medication or massage. Such a condition needs a quick release through advanced technology without bothering the pregnancy.

Physiotherapist in Lahore - Dr. Aqsa Wahid PT

Assalamualaikum,

I’m Dr. Aqsa Wahid PT from Dr. Aqsa Clinic, Garhi Shahu, Lahore.

I understand how difficult sciatica pain can be during pregnancy, especially when it affects sitting, standing, and walking. At 4 months, the growing uterus + posture changes + loose ligaments often put pressure on the sciatic nerve.

The good news: It is very treatable with safe, pregnancy-specific Physiotherapy.

**What you can do for now:**
1. **Avoid massage** on the painful area - it can increase inflammation
2. **Warm or cold pack** 15 min, 2-3 times a day where it hurts most
3. **Sleep position**: Sleep on side with 1 pillow between knees and 1 under belly for support
4. **Sitting**: Use back support. Avoid sitting/standing for long periods. Take breaks every 20 min
5. **Gentle movements**: Pelvic tilts, pelvic rolling, and butterfly stretches can help - but only after proper assessment

**Important:** Since you are pregnant, exercises must be guided by a Physiotherapist. Wrong exercises can worsen it. Also please coordinate with your Gynaecologist for pain management.

Please don’t suffer in silence. We can design a safe treatment plan to reduce your pain and help you move comfortably.

You can visit my clinic:
? Dr. Aqsa Clinic, Lahore.

You can also book via Marham.

Get well soon! Take care of yourself and baby ❤️

Sciatica during pregnancy requires a proper assessment before starting treatment. Based on your symptoms, pregnancy-safe physiotherapy, posture correction, activity modification, and specific exercises may help reduce pain. I recommend booking an online consultation with me. So I can assess your condition and provide a suitable treatment plan. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and a speedy recovery.
