Asking For Self, Male 37, Balochistan
I tried to lift weights, suddenly I felt pain in my lower back. After a few hours, the pain started radiating from my lifted hip to my foot. I went to a neurosurgeon where he prescribed medications like Lyrica, Mits and Brixen tablets. But it didn't work. Please can someone advise me whether this can be cured by physiotherapy or should I go to an orthopedic doctor?
Yes it will recover with medication + physiotherapy for consultaion contact us r M Zain sikendar ( Pain management specialist) faisalabad

Physiotherapy is needed but consult an orthopedic first.
consult with orthopedic first than move physiotherapy
apply heat at painful area three times a day.
use voltral gel to reduce pain.
firstly consult with an orthopedic then go for physiotherapy
Sciatica is not a diagnosis, it's just a symptom in most cases of backache. In the sagittal view of your MRI, there are abnormalities in your disc spaces and vertebral bodies, which suggests to me that you have herniated your disc, as you've mentioned in your history that you experienced it after lifting weights, and in most cases of disc herniations, sciatica tends to appear as an accompanying symptom if the herniation is at the level of L4-L5. And yes, physiotherapy will help to alleviate your symptoms and help you address the abnormalities that are reflected in your MRI.
your L4-L5 and L5-S1 discs are dehydrated, it can be due to some old cause, and L5-S1 is damaged more, may be due to improper lifting. so best solution is physiotherapy considering the complications of surgery, so yes physiotherapy will work if you give your therapist some time. good luck
u should go towards both first orthopedic than physiotherapist
you have already consulted with a neurosurgeon, now consult with Physiotherapists. Physiotherapist is a good option for you to alleviate the pain and prevent it from further complications. you can contact us for further guidance.
you may take an online appointment via Merham form. or vist clinic.
ok please

visit an orthopaedic first
kindly
book an appointment. This case need proper physiotherapy treatment.
It's not sciatica,It is disc dehydration at level L4-L5, but if you can share your MRI report that will be more helpful. yes physiotherapy will work for it but first visit a good orthopedic and then physiotherapis.
Don’t worry about this condition it’s a just minor issue just follow some exercises prone lying on double pillow with 10 time deep breathing your pain will minimise and follow the same exercise for 5 times in a day with 30 times repetitions. For further pain management and muscle activation and strengthening you have consult with qualified physiotherapist.
