Talk to Psychiatry on Crack Cocain Withdrawals

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Male, 20 years old, Karachi

I abused crack cocain and methadone for a year straight, my average intake was about 2 grams of crack and 20-40 mg of methadone daily, I've finally quit it on January 19th but I had a relapse 14 days ago, the thing is I've tried tapering gabica, I've tried almost every medicine, but my back pain keeps getting worse and I'm weak and lazy everyday, and to top it off I've lost my independency and I can't even go anywhere

It seems like you are suffering a lot. Gabica is a good painkiller but it can also cause dependence. Back pain from cocaine withdrawals is pretty common. I would suggest painkillers like Tab Panadol or Tab Brufen 400mg only when pais is severe. Apart from that you can try some massaging or using heat pads in the affected area. Stretching can also help in relieving back pain. Also tell me about your methadone intake these days. If you feel like coming off these substances you can get some pharmacological help as well as psychological help like motivational interviewing to help yourself. I must appreciate your abstinence. If you can do this, you can definitely maintain it for good as well.

oh this got posted, sorry, ma'am I tried panadols ibuprofen, clonidine, tizanidine, neuromet, supplements, methycobal daily, but nothing seems to work, I would love to book an appointment but my parents are too narrow minded right now, they treat it as like it's my fault and all, I'm financially dependent on them because I can't go to work rn because of these withdrawals I really want to go to a psychiatrist but they won't let me. ://
