What you are describing is a combination of panic attacks and travel related anxiety that started after a very distressing experience when you were alone. This reaction is common. your mind links that old event with danger, even though you are now safe. The good news is that this condition is treatable. With proper medication for panic/anxiety and structured therapy (gradual exposure, breathing control, and grounding techniques), you can regain confidence and start traveling again without fear.Your stomach symptoms are also part of the anxiety cycle and improve once the anxiety is treated. You do not have to continue living with this fear . Help is out there . Consult a psychiatrist .
What you went through during that episode was extremely overwhelming, and it makes sense that your mind now reacts with fear whenever you try to travel or step away from home. Your symptoms strongly point toward panic disorder with health anxiety, and it’s common to experience such symptoms afterwards.
With the right breathing control, calming-thought techniques, and gradual exposure, this fear becomes manageable again.
Thank you for reaching out with your question. I understand your concern. To help you with treatment a detailed assessment is essential. I recommend you to book an online appointment for further assistance.
