Talk to Psychiatry on Psychiatry Doctors

I don't understand why most of the psychiatrist and psychologist I saw the profile of, has 20 or less than 20 mints consultation time. How is it enough for therapy or even to listen to all the symptoms, diagnose and prescribe medication? Can a concerned doctor please explain how it works?

It takes regular sessions no one can give all his time to one pt. Doctors are doing job to earn living... So they have to see many pts. Comparing to other specialities, psychiatrists give more time earn less. Pt wants to share all his life in one sitting that's impractical

pt should be evaluated thoroughly, Comprehensive Hx should be taken, MSE should be done, stressor identification and past Hx should be touch, current meds should be discuss, pt Dx and follow up be discuss in details, as per my experience if we as "Psychiatrist" touch all above areas (I may have missed some though), 20 mins would be short to cover
