Talk to Rheumatologist on Autoimmune Disease
Asking for Self, Male, 30 years old, Khairpur
I got positive ANA and Antidsdna. Issue was my platelets were dropping and then dropped to 80000. I visited a reheumtologist and he gave me Recipcort and HCQ. But problem was persistent as platelets were dropping but Anti DS DNA was 5. Then he added Amuran 50 mg and increase the repicort dose twice a day. After one month my platelets increased to 2 lac. Then on last visit he recommended me repicort single dose a day and Amuran, and stopped HCQ, and advices me to get report done after 2 months. Today I got my result again platelets dropped to 135000. Please advice what to do

these platelets levels are quite normal. don't expect it to be above 042-34500888, . normally ur platelets would remain between 80-120k so continue treatment and don't be panic

Ok sir. It means platelets level will not go up to level as healthy person has like 300k.

as platelets are destroyed in body after production due to autoimmune process. so aim for a level of 80k to 120k. it will not exceed beyond this level. and this level will not cause any harm to u. if u aim for a level that's in healthy people then u will always remain on steroids tablets.
