as you didnot write detailed history but in general, i will not advise you to give depomedrol as intramuscular
injection for body aches and pain.

We as Rheumatologist only to give when we know the diagnosis and why we are using
we always take consent before given

we use in Joint cavity for Osteoarthritis and some inflammatory diseases
so here there is no diagnosis

Each drug has side effects ! it's usually given when prescribed at concerned Dr practice
As we use this in our day to day basis
There is no major issue if given once and should not repeated frequently
This injection dramatically improve symptoms so people mis use and re precribe themselves without consulting doctor
which is dangerous

We use Intramsucluar as well in some occasion but strictly aviod when there is no proper diagnosis
for short symptom management
wouldn't be a wise choice
Usually it's safe to be given Either in joint cavity or Intragulteal area! But being a qualifier physcian , I only recomend when diagnosis is to made Blindly for symptom managemnt for short term is not a wise option ! For short term pain relief only occur if the pain is related with inflammation in body After few weeks effects usually disappear and then same issue re occur again Need to be discussed proper through consultation Dr Asif Ali Shah
I will not advise an injection Without a proper diagnosis and a proper indication. She should get a detailed evaluation for the underlying reasons for her pain.
