I started taking topiro after my doctor prescribed it to me. The thing is that I took it with sibelium and I couldn't sleep at all the whole night. My feet and hands were numb. Should I continue taking it? I'm taking it for migraine and neck pain.
show up in the clinic or online. choice of drug is not appropriate
Not sure what dose you were started on, but the initial phase of insomnia, mood swings and tingling is very common with Topiramate.
These usually go away in 7-10 days. Good luck!
Topiro (topiramate) is commonly prescribed for migraine prevention and some other neurological or mental health conditions. Symptoms like tingling/numbness in hands or feet can occur as known side effects in some people. Sleep disturbance may also happen after starting the medicine.
It is important not to stop or change the medication suddenly without medical advice, as abrupt changes may worsen symptoms or cause complications. Any dose adjustment should be done carefully under a doctor’s supervision.
Since you are having side effects, it would be better to arrange an online consultation with a doctor/psychiatrist for proper review of your medicines, side effects, and safer treatment options according to your condition.
