Assalam o alaikum... This is Muhammad Umer from Sialkot, I am living abroad, I am 28 years old. I’ve been going through a mix of physical sensations and anxiety for some time. It started with episodes where I felt anxious and sometimes what felt like panic symptoms ...overthinking my body, increased awareness of my heartbeat, and occasional episodes of uneasiness in breathing. During these times, I often feel like I’m not getting a fully comfortable deep breath, even though normal breathing is fine. At its worst, I’ve had moments where I become very focused on my body sensations, which increases my anxiety and makes everything feel stronger than it actually is. I’ve also had periods where I worried something might be wrong with my heart or chest because of these sensations. I got checked by a cardiologist recently. I showed him my previous ECG (done around 4 months ago) and other reports. He said everything looks normal and nothing serious is going on from a heart perspective. He didn’t suggest an immediate need for further tests like a new ECG or echo and said it seems more like muscular or anxiety-related discomfort rather than a structural heart issue. Even though medically I’ve been reassured, I still sometimes experience these sensations...especially chest tightness feeling, difficulty with deep breaths, and anxiety spikes when I focus on them. It comes and goes, and seems closely linked with stress, overthinking, and panic-like episodes rather than constant physical illness. I feel like I am about to collapse sometimes I feel tingling on my left arm hand.. on left calf feet.. also swelling .. My lipid profile isnt good tho ... all the time I feel like if Im having a heart attack.. kindly advise me what should I do .. these sensations are too scary my arm jaw back chest...

Tingling and calf pain can be due to anxiety, muscle tension, or nerve irritation, especially with normal cardiac reports. Still, proper assessment is needed to confirm the cause.

hi first of all we need to know your history how it all started and do you still have these symptoms?any childhood trauma which triggered it?we need to take a detailed history and the swelling may be it\'s because of your lipid profile but as per your symptoms it seems like a panic attack to me which can be treated with proper therapy

Sometimes what happens is that a person’s physical symptoms and psychological symptoms become mixed up, and the person is unable to understand whether the pain is physical or emotional. In many cases, excessive emotional instability causes the body to respond through a reflex action. This does not necessarily mean that there is a problem with any vital function or vital organ.
