Body Aches & Tingling Check
Do your legs or back keep aching?
Do your legs or back keep aching? Do your hands or feet feel numb, or like tiny pins are pricking them? Maybe you’re also tired by the middle of the day.
When this keeps happening, it’s tempting to try a vitamin tablet and hope it helps. But it’s hard to know what you need without checking.
This package tests your vitamin D and B12 levels. A Marham doctor goes through the results with you and asks about your symptoms. If a level is low, the doctor can guide you on what to do next. If both are normal, you can talk about what else may need checking.
Get a clearer answer before taking supplements on a guess. Feel sharp. Stay sharp.
Feel sharp. Stay sharp.

What’s tested, and why
25-OH Vitamin - D3
Vitamin B-12 (Serum)
About this test
General Physician consultation, included — Online or In Clinic Consultation
Our team calls to arrange it once your reports are ready.
Two tests from one blood sample, no fasting needed, plus the doctor who decides the treatment.
- 25-OH Vitamin D3: the correct way to measure vitamin D. It tells you not just whether you are low but how low, which is what decides whether you need a weekly sachet, a monthly dose or an injection. Low vitamin D typically shows as bone and muscle pain, aching legs and back, and tiredness.
- Vitamin B-12 (Serum): low B12 causes tingling and numbness in the hands and feet, a sore tongue, poor memory and low mood, and it is easy to miss because a blood count can still look normal early on. It is more common with a mostly vegetarian diet, after 50, and on long term acid reflux or diabetes medicines.
- General Physician consultation, included: a Marham doctor reads both levels and prescribes the right strength and form for your result, tells you how long to take it and when to retest. Take it online or at a clinic, whichever suits you. It is part of the package, not an add on.
If a result needs following up, your doctor orders only what is needed, charged separately: calcium and phosphate, parathyroid hormone for a very low vitamin D, or a CBC and ferritin if the tiredness looks like more than a vitamin problem.
Feel Sharp. Stay Sharp.
The doctor tells you which result explains how you feel, what to take, and when to test again so you know the treatment has worked.
If everything is normal, that is useful too: it rules out the commonest causes and moves the conversation to the next question, such as sleep, blood sugar or mood.
Not just a report. An answer.
Before your test
- Stop vitamin supplements 24 hours before the sample. Multivitamins, vitamin D sachets and B12 tablets all raise the reading and can make a real deficiency look like a normal result. Prescription medicines carry on as usual unless your doctor says otherwise.
- If you have had a vitamin D injection recently, say so, and consider waiting. A single injection keeps the level raised for weeks to months, so a test taken too soon shows a good number that has nothing to do with your baseline. Your doctor can tell you the right gap.
- The same applies to B12 injections, which raise serum B12 immediately and for a long time afterwards.
- No fasting needed. Eat and drink as normal. A morning sample is easiest.
- Mention pregnancy or breastfeeding, since both change what a normal level means and what dose is safe.
- Mention long term medicines, especially acid reflux tablets such as omeprazole, metformin for diabetes, steroids and anti epileptic drugs. All of them affect these two vitamins.
- Not for children under 12.
- Have the patient's name and age ready, plus the name of any supplement you are already taking and how long you have been on it. Have a phone in a quiet place for an online consultation, or your preferred clinic if you would rather be seen in person.
- One low reading is a starting point, not a diagnosis on its own. Your doctor reads both results together with your symptoms before deciding anything.
Questions people ask
