Vulvodynia is chronic pain or discomfort about the opening of the vagina (vulva) for which there is no identifiable cause and which persists for at least three months. The pain, burning, or irritation associated with vulvodynia can make you feel uncomfortable when sitting or having sex for long periods of time. The condition can take months or even years. If you suffer from vulvodynia, don't feel embarrassed on discussing the symptoms. Treatment options are available for your discomfort. Your doctor can determine the cause of your vulvar pain. It is manifested by the following signs;
