Talk to General Physician on Covid Positive Patients

Assalam O Alaikum to all drs. Allah aap sb ko mehfoze rakhay . ameen 75 year Covid patients with no other disease like hypertension or diabetes today is 15th day from day symptom start. Now patients has no fever or fatigue or no cough. but still have shortness of breath oxygen saturation is 90 to 95. patient is home isolate. lungs x-ray show some filtrate which is improving day by day . medicine taken linzolide BID with bronchodilator like salbutamol. my question is this medication ok for such patient or can we start steriodal treatment like Prednisolone and dexamethasone or hydrocortisone to cop up the shortness breath problem. you all drs are requested please advice. From history, i can say that condition is not satisfactory, kindly consult physician , patient may need admission for oxygen therapy

patients is already on oxygen therapy from yesterday as oxygen saturation is on lower side .

Due to old age we should start anti inflammation therapy and could not take risk so kindly start dexamethasone it is safer and if not improving give oxygen therapy

If patient is taking bronchodilator and lungs xray is also improving, to cope with the shortness of breath, breathing exercises are best if patient is able to perform, it can increase his lung capacity and relieve breathlessness. you can book appointment through marham and I can guide you the exercises.

my mother has same condition ... how much oxygen you are supplying to maintain what saturation level? what does your dctr say when will it start improving?

Saturation level is low at night so patient is on oxygen all night. virus has 15 days life cycle after 15 to 20 days patient health will be improving day by day.
