Asking for Sister, Female, 30 years old, Karachi
My sister's has just diagnosed diabetes. Currently she has cough and congestion as well. She admitted and they have given her Piriton sugar free syrup for cough. The description mentioned on the syrup is that it is not suitable for diabetics patient. Can anyone please confirm it.

Piriton Syrup just contain 2.36 g of sucrose per 5 ml so there is nothing to be worry . Just keep in mind you are take 2.36g sugar in your medicine so decrease that much amount in your oral intake . And the most important thing is treat underlying cause of cough
