Asalam o alaikum, I want a consultation on blood test results. I had a blood test last month and due to Corona situation, next appointment of doctor is taking too long. I have mentioned results which are out of given range. Please advise me what they actually mean? How critical they are? Which medication is required or change in diet or living style can also cure it. Note: I do not live in Pakistan.
Basophile 1.4%, range is till 1% Hematocrit 54%, range is 39-50% MCHC 29g/dl, range is 30-36 MCV 112fl, range is 78-98

You will need to see your doctor about increased hematocrit. If you are a non smoker, and were not dehydrated, this needs to be looked into. Other things are all ok.

Your MCV is raised and that also needs to be explained. Hence my suggestion for B12 and TSH levels. There can be other reasons for increased MCV too. Your doctor will have your history and examination findings and will be better able to proceed further.
