Talk to General Physician on Gynecomastia

I'm having this problem from last 4 to 5 years or maybe more but I wasn't aware of it. But from last 1 year it is getting worsen. swelling, hurting a little and ofcourse facing an embarrassment too. I recently had a meeting with a doctor and she prescribed me Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) 10 mg tablets, 1 per day and she told me to use it for atleast 2 months and if it still doesn't work out then I have to undergo a surgery to remove it. Now the main thing why I'm posting this is that I just wanna be sure if it is safe to use these tablets for 2 months or does it contains any kind of steroids?
