Asking For Self, Male 29, joher town lahore
Dear Doc i have a history of Hepatitis C and my PCR came Not detected after 3 months of treatment now my question is, Am i completely cured from disease as i heard about Hepatitis C that it will never be completely dead and remain in the body and anytime it can be again active in your body 2- Does it transfer sexually after completely cured
yes
can transfer sexually , but have to take precautions
Ask your Dr who treated you for 3 months.
Dear you need proper counselling regarding Do's and Don'ts, and further guidance regarding the prognosis. kindly book an appointment
Aoa ! Do you have any previous medical history ? or using any kind of medicine ?
Share your labs and previous history in a deatailed consult. Serial monitoring is important
Kindly consult your primary doctor who treated you for Hep C
1. Repeat one more PCR after 3 months if negative, then there is almost no chance for hep C to be active again. Anti HCV Ab remain positive for life usually. Do USG Abdomen and ALT yearly.
2. Risk of transmission is very low.
