Glucose Challenge Test (GCT) is a screening test for gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) — high blood sugar that develops during pregnancy. It’s usually part of routine prenatal care. Asusual done in high risk patient ( like obesity, family history of DM , previous pregnancy with GDM ) . GCT 50gm ( screening test in which patient is not ask for fasting rather advice to have 50gm of glucose dislove in water and after 1hr sample is dawning for tests report ) , and further followup accordingly to their physician.
