Asking for Self, Male, 29 years old, Lahore
I recently received a VIRIONZA flu vaccine at a hospital. I requested an injection in my arm, but the healthcare worker said injecting it into my buttock would cause less pain and be more beneficial.
He injected it into my upper-left buttock while I was standing. Later, I read online that flu vaccines should be injected into the upper arm and that the buttock is not a recommended site.
Was the injection given incorrectly? Is the vaccine still effective and safe, or do I need another dose?
No need to take 2nd dose.

Thank you! Does the dose I received still count as effective?
