Asking For Mother, Female 68, chakwal
my mother is a patient of haemorrhoids for about 25 years she is 68. and a bed patient because of extreme weakness....she is in a state that she could not go through traditional surgery ......is it possible for her to get laser surgery for haemorrhoid piles?
no, laser surgery can also have complications if she is bed ridden. there is no use of any surgery. until and unless she is having bleeding from rectum
please take in clinic consultation regarding assessment and other disease to rule out
Opinion n management can be adivised after examination of the patient , purpose would be to remain conservative
first examination is must. then we can improve her physical health too. and then operated
Laser will also need anesthesia and have same complications as open surgery.
you should consult a surgeon abour band ligation. it will have less complications
Yes definitely possible besides that there is an endoscopic method of hemorrhoid early grade called endoscopic banding of hemorrhoid which is done without anaesthesia .
yes it is possible since it is done under local anesthesia, also before any decision she should be examined by surgeon to take the decision after diagnosis and workup and to see weather these are hemorrhoids, anal fissure ,rectal varices or any other pathology that presents with rectal bleed .
Salam and dua
surgery is possible under local anesthesia. most important thing is to visit the surgeon before getting any decision. regards
she needs proper examination first of all to decide whether surgery is necessary or not.sometimes in bed ridden pts or in stroke patients, the anal cushions are the sole factors for continence of stool.they dont have any sphincter control already .. kindly consult a good surgeon before embarking on any modality ,be it banding, laser ,rfa ,stapler.
To decide, we should first know is she having external hemorrhoids or internal hemorrhoids. If she is bed ridden, she must be experiencing constipation and occasional bleeding and that's why you're concerned. You should rather prefer medicines instead of any procedure at all.
Hemorrhoids 25 years and no surgical treatment. What problem now.?
yes without surgery its completely treatable after taking some medicine don't you worry detailed history required kindly book appointment with me
what is her complain ? if she is bleeding or something coming out of anus ? she required proper clinical examination and proctoscopy too
I am not interested to participate . I feel, every now and then admn float some scenario to keep everyone busy. This is my feelings and you can disagree .
