I caught a Phlegm Cough 3 weeks Back. From Last two days I got really bad pain on right side of Kidney area. Consulted with doctor he said it's a muscular pain because of cough, and prescribed Reltus 2 Times a day, Klue 500 mg 2 times, Voren 50 mg for pain, Conkast 10 mg during Day, and Leviva 5mg 1 at night.
after taking the medication for one day my condition got severe bad. i started getting sweating and my boday starts shaking feels fatigue during day time. Feels dizziness and nosea. Didn't take medicine for a day but still feels the same

Hi, I am sorry you are going through this. I hope you get well soon. Short duration phlegm cough is usually due to chest infection and the medications prescribed are alright if the doctor in fact diagnosed a chest infection. But medications can have side effects sometimes. However, these symptoms could also be due to the illness itself. As fever (if you have it) can cause shaking (rigors and chills) and it is a sign of infection. Fatigue can also be caused by the illness itself as body is fighting infection and dizziness can be due to dehydration.
Right now I would advise you to follow up with the same doctor and tell him/her about the side effects. He/she will reassess you and prescribe some other medications.
Please do not entirely stop taking medications altogether as your condition could worsen. To treat dizziness, stay in bed for couple of days and drink a lot of fluids including water, qehwa, juices, yakhni (broth) and soups. for fever and shaking take panadol 2 tablets 3 times a day (its OTC drug so dont need any prescription). For nausea, eat smaller portions of liquid or semisolid meals and eat frequently.
pain on right side low back can be due to lung infection itself so definitely get it checked and assessed.

these symptoms could be due to kidney infection.. you will need antibiotics to cover for that.. also you will need some tests done including chest x-ray and urine urine complete
Firstly stop all the medication for 24 hours ,drink upto 1.5 litre of water and frequent voiding of bladder. secondly, you need to go to take a second opinion with physical examination.
Another thing n which is a reality if you can't afford a second visit then after 24 hours of stopping of medication, you can take ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily for seven days. with paracetamol twice daily 1gram in case of fever and then reply.

Go to your nearest government hospital and let them investigate you properly. And you are doing it wrong. You can take Levi a during the day but its best to take Cokast at night only.
U have to visit hosp for investigations
Please do CBC, Urine RE, USG abdomen. If couldn’t possible start these medicines. Tab cefspan 400mg once daily . Tab nospa two times a day. And drink plenty of fluids and water.

It’s better to go to nearby hospital for proper workup, to rule out the accurate diagnosis & then accordingly treatment.
You need to see a surgeon immediately, it might be your appendix. Physical examination and some lab test should make the diagnosis

U need ultrasound of abdominal and kub then will decide
Stop the medication. And give complete history. As in do you have painful urination or burning? And other complains as well. Physical examination is required as well as labs and a usg.
usg abdomen and kub along with cbc and rfts investigations.
it seems that you have developed allergic reaction to any of medicine you were taking, well if you feel same symptoms than injection avil and injection dexa iv stat will b needed. followed by stopping the medications which you were taking, while for cough syp acefyl 2tea spoon twice a day and tab azomax 500 mg once in day, while for kidney pain u need to get ur ultrasound kidney urinary done followed by urine Re
it was painkillers overdose. don't worry about it just keep taking voren for muscular pain.

as you have stoppes medication, kindly go to nearest hospital, have a detailed checkup, do cbc esr cxr and urine r/e. your medications will be startes on basisi of your general physical health and investigation results.
need to be visited by a specialist physician soon after taking history and doing physical examination and some tests then everything will be cleared up as it has many causes

first of all get your ultrasound kub done... drink plenty of water as dehydration is the leading cause of microlith in kidneys ... for cough take tab freehale 10mg daily at night for next 14days... don't take any cough syp ... take tab nuberol forte two times after meal as long as pain persists

unfortunately, unnecessary medications were prescribed. only complete hx is required with examination of abdomen and chest . if there is no hx of lower urinary track symptoms like inc frequency, burning micturation , blood or hesitnecy . so in absence of luts , pain killers for muscles spasm can be given like muberol forte tds and for cough if not settled , syp muconil with any non sedating anti allregic can be given with chest physio and steam inhalation.
u need to consult a pulmonolgist
medicine didnot suit you..just steam inhalation and avoid milk products..start some vitamin too
Severe pain can be due to kidney stone stuck in ureter you need proper consultation
You need investigations Ultrasound KUB , CBC, Urine Complete Test. After you get these reports consult your primary physician.
What is the colour of Sputum (Phlegm)? Anything else like Fever? Sore throat? Flu?Ear Ache?or ?
If you still have Productive Cough --> Have an Chest x-ray to rule out any severe infection.
Take muscle relaxant, no need to take several medicines before accurate diagnosis of condition. Probably it could be viral, if it so, then you just need symptomatic control, & Multivitamins to boost your immunity. But if there is any x-ray finding, you need to consult. Additional you have to monitor yourself for Fever or rise in body temperature & any urine issues

Hello, the best advice I would suggest is to go and see a doctor in person who can physically examine you. However, it looked like bronchitis and seem like the act of coughing has put on a strain on your lumbar area. I would advise you to take Ventolin inhaler 2 puffs as your lungs would be irritated from coughing over a longer period.
For your pain, I would advise you to use heat/ cold packs, and avoid postures which make your pain worse. You can also take a painkiller like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen.

Get your CBC, ESR, SPUTUM CULTURE & CHEST X-RAY done from a reliable lab.
It can be because of the medication you took. Are you running a fever? Did you run any blood tests? or Did you get any ultrasound for kidney Stones etc?
Take a lot of fluids. Drugs like Leviva can make you feel dizzy. This when given with Syrup Reltus can have more dizziness and sedation
You can skip Leviva. Instead of Voren take a milder Painkiller for example Diagesic P. Increase fluid intake as much as you can.

I am sorry to hear about your experience, cough and phlegm for 3 weeks should always be taken seriously, as per UK/NICE standards/Guidelines ,any cough for more than 2 weeks should be taken seriously and investigated with at least a Chest X-ray, and in your case it was productive and latter you developed pain at the back and shivering pointing to a possible community acquired pneumonia. I would suggest having a thorough check up, chest x-ray , bloods CBC, CRP ,liver and kidney functions at least and consider Antibiotics , admission to hospital would depend on the severity of your condition taking into consideration your age, other commodities , your oxygen levels and blood reports

What I got from your history that your current symptoms are due to overdose of anti allergic you took owing to your pain. As Reltus & Leviva both have these & dizziness & nausea could be their side effect. What I would suggest you to just continue voren 50mg if pain is still there & that too after meals & stop rest of the medication. Drink plenty of water & if there is persistent phelgum with cough then answer few of my questions.
Any fever with night sweating?
Pain or burning while passing urine?
History of similar episodes of cough with phelgum every year in this season?
Your answers will decide your treatment then.
