A week after giving birth I got itching in valva area after that I have been going non stop to different doctors took all kinds of medicine but the itching symptom. Came back each time. The drs conducted tests (HVS). it was a bacterial infection sometimes it was fungal. in the last HVS I was resistant to almost all antibiotics . they gave me one which I was sensitive to through iv , but the infection still came back.I lost weight (10 kgs) during this period also constantly checked my sugar. I don't have diabetes. They gave my husband medicine he was also checked for fungal infection and tested. We've avoided contact for long. Also avoided using latex protection. Tried everything. Keep inserting clotrimazole each week throughout pregnancy. But it kept coming back. Now I am 2 we

Long standing problems n recurrent infections must be diagnosed early, when gynaecologists dont involve other specialisties then patients are misdiagnosed and mishandled , skin diseases are complex and need urgent treatment , even few turn into cancerous lesions by wrong diagnosis n late treatment.

I have been dealing with it since 2.5 years changed many gynecologists. at last my current gynecologist suggested to consult a dermatologist. and also you did. so I went yesterday. 2.5 years is long right.I'm concerned it might've caused damage inside the vaginal canal.

Get infections treated side by side , when immunity is low and area is dry , blood supply and skin barrier is disturbed then you get recurrent infections
