Asking for Father, Male, 62 years old, Karachi
Recently he had fits on which doctor recommended Lumark 500mg but even after taking medicines on time for 3 months , last month he had fits again continuous within 10 days then the doctor increased the dose of lumark 750 mg but even after that he's had fits again within 15 days, we were told by an emergency doctor to lay him on his left side to stop fits
The description of events has not been provided so it's difficult to ascertain whether these are actual seizures.
If they are, we need to look for the cause and even then more than 1 anti-seizure medication may be needed for adequate control
Epileptic fits first time in 50s and 60s can be serious. Has he had a CT scan of his brain and an MRI? Has he had a stroke in the past? What medication is he on? Has he had any other investigations? Laying the patient on his left or right side doesn’t stop the fit. However it is a good idea to lay an unconscious patient on their side in order to stop them inhaling their secretions which would cause aspiration pneumonia
it's completely treatable after taking some medicine don't you worry detailed history required kindly book appointment with me
