Asking for Father, Male, 60 years old, Multan
Can u treat adults ?my father canteen speak properly he is diagnosed with als
yes I am adult neurologist.
It depends on why he is unable to speak properly. Please consult a Neurologist in person for appropriate guidance.
Please give better and slightly more detailed history. Is his speech slurred? That is called dysarthria. That is common in motor neuron disease ( MND) where only the motor component of speech is affected. That is accompanied by dysphagia or difficulty in swallowing. This can be so severe that the patient can’t even swallow his saliva and this causes drooling. Thus in MND you have dysarthria or slurred speech plus dysphagia and drooling. ALS is not a separate disease but a name for a kind of MND. if you describe what is your fathers problem it would be easier to diagnose and help him
