Asking for Mother, Female, 50 years old, Thana District Malakand
Sir, my mother having hemorrhagic stroke in July 2025. We had initial treatment at Swat from Dr. Fawad. Her treatment include Epival 500mg, Raast 10mg, lowplat 75mg, Flux 20mg, Misar AM 40/10mg. She had her BP low due to long gap in eating (almost 6 hours) on 21st March 2026 and she got unconscious after which we had to take her to near hospital's emergency. After proper treatment there for 3 to 4 hours she got somewhat stable, now very much improved day by day. We have stopped Misar AM medicine as now her BP remain mostly 100 or below. Similarly, now we have started thorough observation of her BP twice a day at least. Is our treatment going fine or we must change something in our treatment.
Advised ct scan Brain plain
A couple of things here:
- Hemorrhagic stroke has no indication of lowplat unless it was started for heart issues
- The recent unconcious episode maybe a hypoglycemic spell or a new infarct. Plain CT is a good starting point. Carotid Doppler also needed.
- Persistent low BP needs to investigated from cardiac point of view.
Haemorrhagic stroke means she had bleeding in her brain. Your mother should not be taking lowplat which would cause further bleeding . Furthermore please do not give her Misar which reduces her blood pressure and is not required in her case. So please stop lowplat and Misar immediately and consult a proper doctor
