I'm suffering from multiple neurological disorders including Hypersomnia, change in taste and smell, neurogenic bladder, neurogenic bowel and spinal pain. However the MRI brain is normal. Initially I developed hypersomnia 5 years ago then other conditions also developed later.

I can understand it's quite challenging to cope with these lot many complaints. Most important thing in management of any problem is correct diagnosis. We need to establish if you really have FND or there is some other treatable underlying condition because a normal MRI does not always indicate that it's functional or there is no organic illness. You need to consult a neurologist in person for detailed and thorough history and physical examination. To decide whether you need further investigations. Establish a diagnosis and then start appropriate management.
Take care..

Yes, I manage patients with functional neurological disorder (FND). It is a real and common condition, where symptoms like weakness, tremor, or blackouts happen due to a problem in brain function, not structure.

FND is not something imagined or fake. It needs a proper neurological exam and clear explanation. Treatment often includes physiotherapy and sometimes psychotherapy. With the right approach, many patients improve.

Feel free to share your symptoms. I would be happy to guide you.

Thanks for sharing. You are not alone. I see cases like this almost every day.

When the MRI is normal but symptoms are real, like sleep issues, bladder problems, spinal pain, or changes in taste and smell, it could be a functional or mixed neurological condition. These can improve with the right plan.

I would be happy to talk more in a consultation and help you move forward. There is hope.
