Asking for Self, Female, 19 years old, Tehran

For several months now, I have been continuously feeling a burning sensation for a few seconds on a spot in different parts of my body. I also had an MRI without an injection, but nothing unusual was seen. I also had a blood test but I did not have diabetes. What causes this burning sensation of a few seconds in different parts of the body for a few seconds?

It looks like your complaint has no physical basis. Bizarre complaints like yours are usually the result of a stressful situation. At your age it could be an engagement. It may be accompanied by other complaints which would seem to have no physical basis. As you are having expensive investigations like MRI, I think one of your parents ( mother) is concerned. Usually this is called engagement neurosis because it results from a prolonged engagement.
