I am happy to help. I have huge experience in deep brain stimulation which is the most innovative treatment of parkinson's disease. Most of Neurologist in pakistan does not have good experience of treating parkinson's disease unfortunately. She needs adjustment in her medicine. Book a consultation.

Main madad karne mein khushi mehsoos karunga. Mujhe Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) ka kaafi zyada tajurba hai jo Parkinson’s disease ka sab se innovative treatment hai. Bad-qismati se Pakistan mein zyada tar neurologists ko Parkinson’s disease ke treatment ka itna tajurba nahi hota.
Unhein apni medicines mein adjustment ki zaroorat ho sakti hai. Consultation book kar lein

Couple of things: First we need to determine whether this is Parkinsons or something else. Second, based on that further treatment plan can be discussed and offered.

Good luck!

There are three main components of Parkinson’s disease, rigidity, bradykinesia ( slowness of movement) and tremor. The gate becomes slow and shuffling and the patient can fall if there is the smallest of obstacle at home as the patient is unable to clear it. Apart from drug treatment your mother may need a Zimmer frame to walk at home. Any loose rugs must be removed because the patient may slide and fall. At this age a hip fracture is the most dangerous prospect that can totally immobilize the patient. Drug treatment is effective but without regular follow up and keeping an eye out for side effects it may become a futile exercise. You need to consult a neurologist experienced in Parkinsonism.

Parkinson disease is a manageable condition and there is no 100% cure to this condition it is progressive. You may make your mother do balance training which may help her get better or visit nearby physiotherapist.
