Asking For Other, Male 55, Multan
My uncle have been suffering from sudden pain that started happening in his lef leg for almost a month from now. he couldnt even walk before then i booked appointments for two different doctors and their medicines were not effective. then i booked another appointment with an orthopedic doctor and he told us to give him these medicines. first week in and most the pain from the leg is gone and now he can atleast walk for a small time. but the pain is still not gone. he says the pain is still there on the hip side (hip to thigh) and i don't really know what to do. its been a while now and its so tiring that nothing seems to be properly working for him to relief him from this pain. Can anyone help? guide me to the right path.

I would recommend getting an MRI L/S Spine, this will help help guide further management.
Thank you for sharing the details.
From the symptoms you have mentioned, pain radiating from the lower back(hip) toward the leg and difficulty walking, it is very likely that your uncle is experiencing sciatica or a lumbar nerve compression, rather than a simple muscle strain. Since the medicines only offered partial and temporary relief, it means the root cause is still untreated.
What needs to be done now:
Proper Diagnosis
To guide him correctly, he needs evaluation through:
MRI of the Lumbosacral Spine.
This help confirm if the pain is due to:
Disc bulge or herniation
Nerve compression
Spinal canal narrowing
Sacroiliac joint dysfunction
When Medicines Alone Are Not Enough and If MRI confirms nerve compression and pain is persistent despite medication, the next step is:
Nerve Block Injection, highly effective for sciatica
Please bring him for an evaluation so the exact level of nerve compression can be identified and treated properly.
You have already tried multiple medications without long lasting benefit, so further delay can make the condition chronic.
If you share his MRI, I can guide you more specifically.
you can make appointment for proper evaluation and treatment
