Growth hormone (GH) deficiency is a medical condition in which the body does not produce enough growth hormone. Treatment for GH deficiency typically involves daily injections of GH. Your son's IGF-1 levels being above the minimum level for his age suggests that he may not have GH deficiency. I recommend that you discuss the test results with a pediatric endocrinologist, who can evaluate your son's growth and development and determine whether GH therapy is appropriate. Please consult with a pediatric endocrinologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
