Talk to Dietitian/Nutritionist on Inconsistent Weight

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 24 years old, Karachi

I got married about 9 months back. My weight at the time of wedding was 45. I have gained a lot of weight since then. My weight now is 56.

I am concerned about this weight again. Is this normal or I need to do something for it?

There is lot of inconsistency in my weight as well. I do check my weight every 2-4 days. Sometimes it increases while other it decreases.

The weight machine shows my husband's weight consistently to 74.

My periods and all the things are normal.

Please guide me what should I do?

unintentional weight gain or loss, both are not normal. Mention your daily diet.

My day begins with breakfast that includes pratha with tea. In lunch and dinner I have either a plate of rice or a chapati. I do take some snacks (papar) occasionally. Some times I take late night meal that can be maggi or anything left from dinner. My eat routine is same since over 5years. Even I used to eat more before I was married. And my weight was consistently 45.

Sometimes its not about how much you eat but also what you are eating. "Midnight snacks" (especially processed ones such as maggi) can lead to weight gain; your other snacks don't seem nutritious either. Empty calories don't keep us full for long and can cause to feel hungry very quickly. A diet plan that includes nutritious foods and small, frequent meals can help you maintain your weight.

Mam your weight falls in normal range. All you need to do is clean eating and avoid any further weight gain. check your weight at a specific time each time you go for it like early in morning and make sure check weight before you eat any food.
