Asking for Mother, Female, 46 years old, Hyderabad
My mother has been experiencing post traumatic stress. She used to have a troubled environment in the past where she used to experience emotional abuse and stayed under stress, she also lost weight. This happened in her 20s when she was newly married. Between all these years she has been experiencing episodes of depression/sadness/fear. Now in her 40s she is sad/depressed all day. She has even distanced herself from her closed ones. She stays indoors a lot and she only cares about her children. Whenever any of her children is sad or troubled she gets stomach cramps and diarrhea out of fear. She also has got a fear of losing her children or travelling long distance in car. Nowadays her situation is worsening, she is scared and unhappy all the time, sometimes she gets moodswings and diziness. She also has developed a fear of taking medicines and getting a reaction from them. She used to take SERT tablet in past year for a few months but situation got the same when she stopped taki
