Sleep disturbance is often caused by stress, anxiety, an irregular routine, or excessive academic pressure, especially among medical students where this is quite common. First, try to maintain a regular sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time daily. Avoid mobile/laptop use at least one hour before sleep, reduce caffeine (tea/coffee) in the evening, and keep your room calm and comfortable. Avoid long daytime naps, as they can disturb nighttime sleep. If your mind stays active at night, try deep breathing or relaxation exercises before bed. If this problem continues for more than 2–3 weeks, or starts affecting your daily functioning, it would be best to consult a psychologist or doctor for a proper assessment.
