Talk to Rheumatologist on Osteoporosis At Young Age

Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Bahawalpur

I m diagnosed with osteoporosis with T SCORE OF -3.9 at age of 30,i have three kids..i have undergone other tests like CRP,RA FACTOR both are normal but my dr was of the opinion that at such young age there might b any underlying cause for osteoporosis therefore i undergo through peripheral morphology which suggests anisocytosis, poikilocytosis and target cells alongwith normal HB and elevated WBCs, Anyone plz guide me i m very tensed right now

first of all you should share ur dexa scan. it should hv been done from shaukat khanum if u r in Lahore. because some labs do dexa but there readings r not reliable.
secondly ur doctor is right at such a young age there should be some secondary cause of osteoporosis like endicrines, endocrine disorders, oral contraceptives and autoimmune disorders. if u want to take efurther consultation plz visit me in Lahore or aheikhupura or book online appointment. I would prefer to see in clinic..

Sorry to hear about this,but it could be due to many reasons. Need detail history,examination. Common causes include primary or secondary severe vitamin D deficiency,glands problems, gut problems etc. Get checked up by rheumatologist. Treatment is available to treat osteoporosis.
