He could have suffered an epileptic fit. At this age commonest form of epilepsy is juvenile myoclonic epilepsy diagnosed from the description of the fit, EEG. A CT scan of head is also advisable to rule out brain pathology . We don’t treat after one fit but wait and start if there is a repeat fit
