Ichthyosis vulgaris is an inherited disorder of the skin in which dead skin cells accumulate on the surface of the skin in the form of thick, dry scales. Sometimes other skin diseases, such as allergic dermatitis of the skin, are associated with ichthyosis vulgaris. No treatment for ichthyosis vulgaris has been found and treatments are focused on controlling the disease. As it is a hereditary disorder so no exact treatment is reported for this ailment but lactic acid and retinoid drugs are prescribed to lowers the severity of symptoms.
