Certain environmental conditions such as UV rays, stress, viruses, and trauma or chemical agents can also cause this problem.
The female population is found to be more extensively and severely affected by SLE compared to their counterparts.
Risk actors for SLE are
Age: SLE is mostly diagnosed in people within the age bracket of 15-44 years.
Sex: Being a woman increases risk for developing this disease.
