Urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder to outside the body. The situation in which cancerous cells developed in the tissue of this urine carrying tube is called as urethral cancer. It is a rare occurring cancer which may happen due to some sexually transmitted disease, urinary tract infections or being older. The clear symptoms of this cancer include bleeding from the urethra or blood in the urine, frequent urination but with interrupted flow, a lump in the perineum or penis, discharge from the urethra. If it is early diagnosed the treatment is done very easily. Mostly chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery is used to treat it.
