A sarcoma is a rare kind of cancer and happens in a different kind of tissue. It specifically grows in the connective tissue. The sarcomas may arise at any place but mostly happen in the bones, muscles, tendons, cartilage, nerves and blood vessels. Tissue sarcomas are really hard to identify because they grow silently without any significant symptoms. The first sign is a painless lump which grows in size slowly. The reason behind these sarcomas may be some genetic defect, a bone disorder called Paget's disease or radiation exposure. Like cancers and tumors sarcomas are also treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgical excision.
