Testicular cancer is cancer of testicles that are present inside the scrotum located beneath the penis. These are organs where male sex hormones and sperms are produced. This is a rare type of cancer compared to other cancers. Luckily it can be treated successfully even when detected at later stages. Usually, this cancer is found to be affecting one testicle only.

Testicular cancers mostly originate from stem cells. The reason why testicular cells turn cancerous is not well understood yet. Risk factors like family history, undescended testes, and bring white seem to play a significant role.
